Sukey Wang is a theatre student and artist at Scripps College, Claremont, CA. Sukey's work explores the logic aspect of theatre, which lies in scenic design and stage management, where storytelling emerges through communication and collaboration with the space, the materials, and the people.

Sukey values voices across different communities, and approaches theatrical spaces with care and attentiveness - listening to how people and the scenery pieces respond, resonate, and support the work happening within them. As an international artist from China, Sukey's practice emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusivity, centering on collaboration, responsiveness, and respect for the physical and human elements of theatre.

Sukey is interested in how theatrical art can inform the world about humans, society, and the universe, and how it can become a tool but not a form of entertainment, to advocate for different voices, while being sustainable and interacting responsively with the environment. When not on set or in rehearsal, Sukey loves solving puzzles, staring at the sky, learning languages, and exploring the myths of the world.
